Bihar Board matric pass students can join class 11 in same school without admission fee

The application process for admission in Bihar Board Class 11 through OFSS is about to start in the second week of April.

Students who have passed Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) class 10 or matriculation examination 2022 and want to continue class 11 in the same school will not have to pay any admission fee. Such students can fill their admission application online free of cost through the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS) portal of BSEB. The application process for admission to class 11 through OFSS is about to begin in the second week of April.

On the instructions issued by the Bihar Education Department, the District Education Officer (DEO) of Patna has asked the schools to update the information to all their students. During the online application for class 11, students are asked to select 10 schools where they wish to apply.

Meanwhile, the SC and ST category students will not have to pay any admission or transfer fee from the new academic year. The board also did away with other provisions like fees for late deposit of school fees and tuition fees for admission to school after being absent for 7 or more days without prior permission.

The BSEB class 10 or matric results were declared online last week after being conducted offline between February 1 and 10. A total of 16.11 lakh students took the exam. Over 12.86 lakh declared passed While 3.24 lakh failed to make the cut. For the students who are dissatisfied with their marks in BSEB Matric result, Bihar Board has started the application process for checking answer sheets. Such students can opt for rechecking of their answer sheets by applying online with a fee of Rs 70 per subject.

The board will also soon announce the compartment exam dates for the students who have failed in the BSEB class 10 exam. However, this option will also be available for those students who have failed in maximum two subjects. Students who have failed in more than two subjects will have to repeat class 10th and appear for BSEB matriculation next year.
