Bihar Board Class 12 Result 2022: How BSEB declared the fastest result for 4 years in a row

Bihar Board Class 12 Result: Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB) Inter or Class 12 Board Exam Result has been declared in record time. This was the fastest result ever released by the board. In 2021, Bihar Board had declared class 12 results for all streams on 26 March, while in 2020 the results were declared on 25 March, in 2019 BSEB released the inter result on 30 March. Earlier, the results were declared either in May or June. But this time the board had prepared the result in 19 days, breaking all the records. How? Using advanced technology, it claims.

The board has cleared 70 lakh OMR sheets of 13,55,749 students in a span of just 19 days. BSEB had changed the exam pattern this year. The exam was taken in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format. For this purpose, students were given OMR sheets containing barcodes and lithcodes. The unique IDs of the students were printed on them. In this way the board used technology to scrutinize the papers and thus give faster results. Bihar Board’s 12th examination was held from February 1 to February 14.

Not only fast, this year also the Bihar Board Inter result has been one of the best. The overall pass percentage is 80.15 percent. A total of 79.53 percent students have passed in Arts stream. The highest pass percentage is 90.38 percent in commerce and 83.7 percent in science.

Meanwhile, a total of 4,52,171 students have secured first division or 60+ marks. While out of the total 13,55,749 most of the students are placed in the second division with 5,10,831 students. 99,550 students are placed in the third class.

This year, Sangam Raj has secured the highest marks with 482 marks or 96.40 percentile, followed by Ankit Kumar Gupta with 473 marks or 94.60 percentile. Whereas the topper in Science is Saurav Kumar who has secured 472 marks or 94.40 percentile.

To prevent copying, the Bihar Board had prepared some strategies before conducting the examination. It had set the paper by using 10 sets of question paper to ensure that the students could not cheat with the people sitting next to them. The students were asked to answer any 50 questions out of a total of 100 questions. If a candidate answers more than 50 questions, the first 50 questions will be counted. The exam had 50 objective type questions and 50 subjective type questions. The students were asked to answer 10 subjective questions of two marks, 10 questions of two marks and 50 objective questions of one mark.

Moreover, before the release of the result, BSEB conducts a verification process every year for the toppers. The process was initiated after an inter topper – Ruby Rai – had secured the top rank in the exam but was unable to answer the simplest questions asked by the media. It contains the names of the subjects for which she appeared. Later the board conducted an inquiry which revealed that he had cheated in the examination. Since then, the Bihar Board has verified the toppers before releasing the result.
