Bihar Board 10th result 2022: Merit list out, Ramayani Roy secures rank 1 with 487 marks

Bihar Board 10th Result: Bihar State Examination Board (BSEB) Bihar Board matriculation or class 10 results have been declared today, March 31. The board has released the merit list containing the names of the toppers and their ranks. The topper of BSEB Matriculation Examination 2022 is Ramayani Roy from Patel High School, Daudnagar, Aurangabad, who scored 487 out of 500 marks.

Bihar Board awards Rs 1 lakh, a laptop and Kindle-e-book to the top rank holder. The second rank holders will get Rs 75,000, a laptop and a Kindle-e-book-reader, and the third rank holder will get Rs 50,000 and a laptop. Students who get rank between 4 to 10 also get Rs 10,000 each.

Bihar Board has declared the 10th results this year in a record time. within 34 days. The exam was conducted from February 17 to February 24. Over 16.49 lakh students had appeared for the exam and the evaluation process took place from February 25 to March 17. The result is the fastest result till date by BSEB. It is also the fastest as compared to other boards. Bihar Board has been declaring the results in April for the last five years. Earlier, the results were declared in June. In 2021, the board claims to have evaluated 1.01 crore copies of answer sheets and 1.01 OMR sheets within 25 days.

Bihar Board 10th Result 2022: Subjects in which students must qualify

Bihar Board has offered several relaxations to the students this time including grace marks, option to replace the low scoring subject with optional, grace marks of up to 8 marks in case any student fails. However, there are also some subjects in which students cannot fail as per BSEB rules. Class 10 students are required to pass in practical and internal assessment of English, Science, Social Science and Science. Failing these subjects, students will have to appear for compartment exam which will be conducted at a later date.

In order to be declared pass in Bihar Board class 10 result, students need to score at least 33 percent marks in every subject. In the subjects which have internal or practical marks, the candidate will have to clear the theory and practical papers separately. Bihar Board 10th Result 2022: Toppers Scores of Previous Years

Last year, a total of 14,94,071 students appeared for the Bihar Board Class 10 exam. Out of the total, 8,37,803 were girls and 8,46,663 were boys. A total of 78.71 percent students passed the exam. The top spot in the BSEB Class 10 merit list was shared by three students- Pooja Kumari, Shubhadarshini, Sandeep Kumar, who scored a total of 484 out of 500 marks. Seven students secured the second position with 483 marks.

In 2020, a total of 4,03,392 students had secured first division while 5,24,217 had secured second division. Himanshu Raj of Janata High School Tenuj, Rohtas had topped the examination in 2020 with 96.20 per cent marks. He had secured 481 marks out of 500 in the examination. A total of 80.73 percent students passed the exam that year.

Whereas in 2019 the pass percentage was 80.73 percent. Sawan Raj Bharti of Rajoun village in Banka district topped with 97.2 percent or 486 marks out of 500.

In 2018, 68.89 per cent students passed the exam, while in 2017 only 50.12 per cent cleared it and in 2016 less than half or 47.15 per cent students passed the exam.

Bihar Board 10th Result 2022: Documents Required to Check Marks

Bihar Board 10th result will be declared very soon in the press conference. With only a few minutes left for the result declaration, students must keep the required documents ready to check marks online. To check the result one will need their unique number or BSEB board roll number as well as their date of birth. Students will be able to get these details on the official board hall ticket of matriculation. All these details are mentioned in the BSEB 10th admit card which students must keep while checking the score.

If a student is not happy with the marks, they can apply for the revaluation. Students can also appear for Special Exam or Compartmental Exam to improve their score. Those students who are unable to secure minimum passing marks in one or two subjects will have to appear for compartmental examination.
