Actress Kamya Punjabi has reportedly joined the Congress party and an announcement about her entry is likely to be made soon.

Television actress Kamya Punjabi has been a part of many successful TV shows. His performance in Bigg Boss Season 7 was also appreciated by the audience. A few days back, the actress wrapped up the shooting of her superhit show, Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. Kamya’s strong and brilliant performance in the daily soap won her accolades. While fans are wondering what her next project will be, a source told ETimes that the actress is all set to take a big step and enter politics. It was learned that Kamya has joined the Congress party and an announcement regarding her entry is likely to be made soon.

The report states that Kamya always aspired to join politics, but she could not take the big step earlier due to her work commitment and busy schedule. Now at the conclusion of her show Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, the actress is all set to make her debut in politics. However, this has not been confirmed by Kamya yet.

Earlier in an interview, Kamya shared that she cried a lot when the director announced the pack-up for the show and didn’t leave the sets for a few hours. The actress said that several days have passed since the wrap up, but she is still feeling low. Describing Shakti as a brand, Kamya said that the show started on a beautiful note, and she is glad that it has ended on a high instead of being dragged down unnecessarily. Kamya insists that as many shows are returning with their second season, Shakti will also return.
