Bigg Boss Telugu Season 5 winner VJ Sunny has been enjoying moments of fame and glory ever since his stint in the reality show. With his newfound popularity, he has already managed to grab a few projects and is soon going to make his debut in Tollywood with a leading role. However, fame can also come with its share of cons like being hated by a section of the public and VJ Sunny got a dose of it during a recent shoot.
Sunny is also working on a web series named ATM, whose shooting started more than a month ago. Sunny was allegedly attacked by a rowdy chadar during the shooting of ATM in Hastinapuram, Hyderabad.
The attack took place on June 8 and when he was getting ready for a shot the man went straight to Sunny and attacked him directly. The incident interrupted the shooting and the entire crew was alerted about the attack, following which they apprehended the attacker.
The actor was immediately escorted away from the location in a car and the local police were alerted. The police finally caught the rowdy Chadar.
Although no specific motive for the attack has been revealed so far, but police believe that the attacker may have done it just to get attention. It is also possible that since he was in the Bigg Boss house, he must have had a rivalry with Sunny. Police said that the incident is being thoroughly investigated.
Sunny had earlier shared pictures from the launch ceremony of ATM, which was attended by filmmaker Harish Shankar, producer DIL Raju and others.
Sunny began her career as an anchor and entertainment journalist before pursuing her acting ambitions. Due to his role as the male lead in the daily soap Kalyana Vaibhogam, he rose to prominence. Sunny rose to further fame after the successful season 5 of Bigg Boss Telugu, of which she was crowned the winner.
