Post Bigg Boss 16, actress Tina Dutta has been keeping a low profile and has been missing from all the crazy parties happening in Mumbai. In an interview with IANS, Tina finally opened up about her career struggles. She is currently prepping for her upcoming new television show ‘Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum’, and talked about the differences she faced in her initial days as an actor. According to the theme of the show ‘Aam Aur Khaas’ (Aam and Khas), Tina, who grabbed headlines with her stellar performance in 2009 show ‘Uttaran’, if she ever faced such differences.
Tina said, “Yes, in the initial phase of my life as an actor ‘Aam Aur Khas’…a newcomer was compared to a senior actor who has already been a part of the industry. Those differences I have Faced them. I have. Seen those hurdles and gone through them all.”
Her upcoming show, Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum, a remake of the popular Turkish drama Istanbul Gelin (Bride of Istanbul), will air from April 10 on Sony Entertainment Television. ‘Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum’ focuses on the human nature to resist change, as it creates fear and the normal response to it is either fight or flight. It also stars Jay Bhanushali and Kitu Gidwani.
Does she believe that unusual pairings make magical stories? “Definitely, yes. I feel the same about the chemistry. The pairing of Surili played by me and Shivendra’s pairing played by Jai. I think the audience will love the equation and the chemistry as well.”
Earlier in an interview to TOI, he talked about his journey in Bigg Boss and his relationship with Shaleen Bhanot. “Shalin pointed fingers at my character and was so aggressive that he once tried to kill me but when I tried to bring his real face to the public, he turned against me. Maybe he is a better actor than a better person. I always thought that one could act in a reality show like Bigg Boss for so long but Shaleen proved me wrong. He has acted for so many months. Hats off to him!”
