Yamuna Expressway – Interchange and Development Progress:

Originally proposed in 2018, the construction was delayed due to farmer-related disputes. Now, with an updated budget of Rs 122.89 crore, NHAI and Yamuna Authority are collaborating to initiate the project’s long-awaited commencement. The newly revised plan incorporates sectors of the Yamuna Authority, ensuring comprehensive connectivity.

Stalled Progress and Farmer Agreements:

The development faced a setback due to disagreements over additional compensation for farmers. However, recent negotiations led to an agreement between farmers and the authority. Consequently, the authority will provide 7% of population plots near the expressway in exchange for resuming construction work on the interchange.
