Mr Biden, who is eligible for a booster shot at age 78, has taken the opposite strategy, and on Friday morning he said he planned to get the booster “as soon as I can get it.”

“So all I would say is, it’s better to wait your turn in line than wait your turn to get there,” Biden said.
