Saini, 32, a resident of Ferozepur Jhirka in Haryana’s Nuh district, was arrested on Friday night on the basis of interrogation and technical analysis. One of the main accused in the case is Bajrang Dal’s Gurugram district president Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar, who was a member of the district cow protection task force.

He was earlier named in a case of attempt to murder registered at Gurugram’s Pataudi police station on February 7 and police said they were trying to nab him. Officials said they have started the process of canceling his arms license.

According to DCP Manesar Manbir Singh rules, if a case of heinous crime is registered against the license holder, the arms license is cancelled. “The process to cancel the arms license of Monu Manesar has started and it will be canceled soon,” he added. Shouting slogans like “Owaisi Murdabad” and “Gehlot Sarkar Murdabad”, the protesters handed over their memorandum to Naib Tehsildar Sushil Kumar.
“First there should be an impartial inquiry into this whole matter because we feel that the Gehlot government, under a conspiracy, wants to take political advantage in the coming elections by implicating cow protectors in false cases by adopting a policy of appeasement.”

VHP district president Ajit Yadav said, “The entire matter should be investigated by the CBI and the cow protectors should not be harassed before the investigation is completed. Otherwise, they will be forced to agitate.”

Owaisi said that this is not a matter of Muslims, but of all those who believe in the rule of law and the Constitution. “No one has the right to take law into their hands. Otherwise where would be the need for police, administration and courts,” he said.

Owaisi told reporters, “If the Rajasthan government had acted immediately on the missing complaint of Junaid and Nasir, they (kidnappers) would not have been able to cross the Rajasthan border.” He said that this is a painful incident.

If BJP continues to give shelter to such fundamentalists then it is not good for the country. These incidents happen only and only because BJP helps such organization, gives them strength and gives them shelter due to which police and administration do not take immediate action. Owaisi alleged.

With the families of the victims alleging the role of Bajrang Dal in the killings, the Rajasthan BJP has said it is not fair to malign an organization before the investigation is complete.
