The tractor loaded on the boat drowned in the river in Bettiah, Bihar; 24 people were on the boat

A major accident has happened in West Champaran district of Bihar. In the Bettiah area here, a tractor laden with sugarcane on a boat drowned in the river. There were 24 people on the boat at the time of the accident. The body of a woman was recovered by local divers.

Himachal Pradesh has been avalanched on National Highway-3 in Tribal District Lahaul Spiti. 60 passengers coming from Pangi to Kullu were stuck in the Lahaul valley due to closure of roads at 5 places including Ropsang, Mulling Nala in the valley. All the passengers stranded in the valley were rescued till late at 11:00 pm and taken to the district headquarters Keylong, where they have been accommodated in the new circuit house.

Sensex fell 400 points to 60445, shares of tech companies fell more

The market is down on the third day of the week today. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex has fallen 400 points to 60,345. Shares of tech companies have fallen more. Infosys and Wipro stocks are down 2-2%.

The Sensex opened 91 points higher at 60,845 in the morning. It made an upper level of 60,870 and a low of 60,442 in the first hour. Out of its 30 stocks, 8 are trading in gains, while 22 are in decline. Major stocks to grow are Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Finserv, Dr. Reddy and Reliance Industries.
