Bhaskar Opinion: Fight for power! Apart from Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur, there is also a Maharashtra!

Four days have passed. Eknath Shinde is bent on becoming the Nath of the new Shiv Sena and the Thackeray family is struggling to save its existence in the party, leaving the worry of the government.

Sharad Pawar is putting the entire squeeze of his political life in saving this deteriorating government. The Congress has nothing much to gain and is not worried about losing either. BJP is also the mastermind of this whole spectacle and also a silent spectator. Poor Maharashtra is nowhere in this tussle between power and government. Poor Maharashtra i.e. except Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Nashik which is a backward, pathetic Maharashtra. Years, decades passed. No one cared about this innocent Maharashtra. Walk from this corner to that corner. Roads in bad shape, fields dry and greenery missing!

Vidarbha region of Maharashtra faces severe drought every year. Big rivers flow in this state to say that, but after independence till now canals have not been built here.

Governments keep changing. Everyone talks about development too, but development does not take place anywhere. There are big rivers in this region, but canals have not yet been built. To say, grapes are grown around Nashik, oranges in Nagpur and bananas are grown on the side of Khan Des i.e. Jalgaon-Bhusaval. There is also good yield, but if there were canals, the yield would have doubled. Apart from these, the whole of Maharashtra is dry. The rays of his sun are casting smoke. The shadows are running away after getting rid of the body. No leader, minister or chief minister has any concern. Not all of them want to come out of Mumbai. All the greenery is there for them. What is their relation with the rest of Maharashtra? The farmers and their fields depend only on the rain from the sky. Has rattled for years. To build canals Many dams are being built, but even today all of them are incomplete. Be it Sharad Pawar, Fadnavis, Uddhav or the previous Congress governments, all of them kept on baking only political bread. No one cared about backward, poor Maharashtra. Now when even his existence in the party did not seem to survive, Thackeray ji remembered the district chief, whose phone he did not even bother to pick up. In the meeting of chiefs on Friday, he and his son Aditya said – Governments keep coming and going. Those who may have to leave the party. We know how to raise a new cadre and will do it.

When the power seemed to be going out of hand, CM Uddhav Thackeray remembered the district chief of Shiv Sena, whose phone he did not even pick up. Said- We will create a new cadre whoever wants to go.

In a way, they want to say that we still have the right over Shiv Sena and it will remain with us. It may remain, but for that, either Balasaheb-like influence is needed or it needs the kindness to meet the workers every day, understand their sorrows and joys. Perhaps both of these are negligible with the current leadership. In such a situation, even if a new cadre is raised, then his fate will be the same as what is happening today.
