Two blasts near Gurdwara Karte-Parwan in Kabul, guard killed

Bullet riddled body of police sub-inspector found in Pampore, Kashmir, investigation continues
A bullet riddled body of a police sub-inspector has been found under mysterious circumstances in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The sub-inspector has been identified as Farooq Ahmed Mir. He was posted in 23 Battalion IRP at Lethpera in Pampora.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that on the previous evening, Farooq Ahmed Mir had left his house towards the paddy fields, where the terrorists shot him dead. A bullet-like mark was found near his heart. The police has sent the body to the custody.
9 killed as bus overturns in Mexico; 40 injured
Nine people have been killed and 40 injured after a bus carrying a religious pilgrimage capsized in southern Mexico. According to Mexico’s Civil Defense Office, the accident happened on Friday morning in the southern state of Chiapas.
All the people on the bus were returning after attending a religious program of the church. What caused the accident is being investigated.
Floods worsened the situation in Assam, 9 died on the previous day, including 2 children
The situation in Assam is getting worse due to the floods. On Friday, 9 people died in different districts of the state. The death toll in floods and landslides in the state this year has gone up to 55. These deaths occurred in Hojai, Nalbari, Bajli, Dhubri, Kamrup, Kokrajhar and Sonitpur districts. Two people are reported missing in Hojai and Sonitpur districts.
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority, a total of 18.94 lakh people have been affected in 28 districts of the state. Landslides have been reported at Dima Hasao, Goalpara, Hojai, Kamrup and Kamrup (Metropolitan) and Morigaon. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal called Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and reviewed the situation.

2 arrested with drugs worth Rs 4.60 crore in Maharashtra, 4 arrested for smuggling gold
