PM Narendra Modi will address the inaugural session of the webinar organized on the topic ‘Energy for Sustainable Growth’ at 10 am today. The webinar will have sessions on topics such as developing energy storage, environment friendly lifestyle (LIFE), coal gasification, promotion of biomass as an alternative energy source, agriculture and agro-forestry, renewable energy expansion and forest and climate change. In which officials from different ministries and state governments, as well as industry representatives and other experts will participate.

India-Sri Lanka first match of test series today

The two-match Test series between India and Sri Lanka is going to start from today. The match will be played in Mohali. Biden will decide whether to ban India under CATSA law

US President Joe Biden will decide whether to impose sanctions on India under the CATSA law for the purchase of the S-400 missile defense system from Russia. Donald Lu, US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, gave this information to the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on US lawmakers. “The way Russia has faced criticism, India will understand that now is the time to distance itself from Moscow,” he said.

Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said the sanctions will not affect the S-400 deal. Under the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, the US President has the power to impose sanctions against a country that has significant transactions with Iran, North Korea or Russia.
