As soon as the information of the accident was received, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and firefighters were trying to douse the fire.

A major fire broke out at a firecracker shop in Shankarapuram town of Kallakurichi district in Tamil Nadu. Five people died in this accident and many got injured. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. State Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of those who died. Along with this, Rs 1 lakh will be given for the treatment of the injured in the accident.

Covaccine will have to wait longer for WHO approval
The World Health Organization (WHO) did not reach any decision regarding the Indian corona vaccine ‘Covaccine’ on Tuesday as well. Rather, Bharat Biotech has sought additional information on the vaccine. It was said earlier that if the WHO is satisfied, then in the next 24 hours only a decision can be taken about the ‘covaccine’. Significantly, till now the WHO has not approved the emergency use of Covaccine. India’s Health Ministry said that with 51 lakh doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccine given on Tuesday, more than 103 crore doses have been given in the country so far.

Decision on demand for independent investigation in Pegasus espionage case today
The matter of alleged spying of journalists, activists, politicians and many prominent people of the country through Pegasus software will be heard in the Supreme Court today. A three-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice will pronounce this decision. The decision will be pronounced at 10.30 am on Wednesday. The bench comprises CJI NV Ramana, Justice Surya Kant and Justice Hima Kohli. Twelve petitions were filed regarding the investigation of the Pegasus scandal. The central government had refused to file a detailed affidavit in this case citing public interest and security of the nation.
