The United Kisan Morcha has said that like Muzaffarnagar, farmers from all over the country will gather to take part in the Mahapanchayat.

Farmers have called a mahapanchayat in Karnal, Haryana on Tuesday. Haryana government has stopped internet and bulk SMS services of all mobile companies in 5 districts of the state. The districts where these services have been stopped include Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Panipat and Jind besides Karnal.

United Kisan Morcha (SKM) has announced that a mahapanchayat will be organized in Karnal on 7th September, in which farmers from across the country will gather to participate like in Muzaffarnagar. During this many issues will be discussed. As a precaution, Section 144 has been imposed in the area.

At the same time, in view of the farmers’ Mahapanchayat, Section-144 has been implemented in Karnal district. 40 companies of security forces, including paramilitary forces, will be present to prevent farmers from reaching the mini secretariat. To avoid inconvenience to the people, the district administration has decided to divert traffic on the Chandigarh-New Delhi National Highway. Under this, the traffic coming from Delhi on GT Road will be diverted from Panipat and the traffic coming from Chandigarh side will be diverted from Kurukshetra itself. Four different routes have been made for the movement of vehicles.
