A meeting of the Election Commission will be held on Monday regarding the ban on election rallies and road shows in view of the assembly elections in five states. Chief Election Commission Sushil Chandra will meet the Union Health Secretary on this issue. Apart from this, the Election Commission will also hold a meeting with the Health Secretaries and Chief Secretaries of the five states. The meeting will start at 11 am.

Let us inform that earlier, in view of the increasing cases of Corona, the Election Commission had banned rallies and road shows in all the five states till January 22. However, then it was increased to 31 January. According to an official, all suggestions will be considered during the meeting.

Minor rams car on people sitting on footpath in Telangana, 4 women killed
In Telangana’s Karimnagar district, a minor rammed a car over speeding people sitting on the footpath, killing four women present there. Karimnagar Police Commissioner V Satyanarayana has confirmed the incident. According to the police, the car, which was coming at high speed, ran over the people sitting on the pavement. A case under section 304 of the IPC has been registered against the minors in the car.

Bus hit 2 cars in Kanpur, 6 killed
A horrific road accident took place in Kanpur late on Sunday night. Here at Tatmill intersection, an uncontrollable electric bus rammed two cars first and then trampled passers-by. So far 6 people have died in the accident, while 9 people are seriously injured. Of these, the condition of 2 people remains critical. The police reached the spot and took the injured to the nearest hospital. Car riders are also said to be among the dead.

Police said that 3 dead have been identified. According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened around 11 pm. A speeding bus went out of control right at Tatmill intersection. The bus first hit a pole. After this, the two cars parked in front were hit hard. The speed of the bus was so fast that even after this the bus did not stop and went on trampling the passers-by coming from the front.

BJP has announced the names of candidates for all the 60 seats for the Manipur Assembly elections. This time BJP has also given tickets to 4 international players.
