Army saved lives of two youths trapped in Chenab river, three children drowned in Dholpur, Rajasthan
Indian Army rescued two youths trapped in Chenab river near Paddar village of Sohal in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district. According to the information, these youths named Sunil and Babul were trying to cross the river through JCB machine on Saturday night when the water suddenly increased in the river, after which both the youth got stuck in the middle of the river. However, after a struggle of about 5 hours, the soldiers of the army took out both the youths safely.
Here, a painful accident happened on Sunday in Rajghat village of Dholpur, Rajasthan. Three children who went to bathe in Chambal river died due to drowning. According to the report, the three children had gone to take a bath in the river at around 11 am, when all three started drowning.
5 killed, over 20 injured in road accident in Telangana
A horrific collision took place between a lorry and a mini truck in Telangana’s Kamareddy district on Sunday evening. Five people died in the road accident while more than 20 people are said to be injured. The incident took place near Hasampalli Gate of Kamareddy.
Tamil Nadu government lifts ban on 500-year-old ‘Pattina Pravesam’ ritual

The DMK government in Tamil Nadu on Sunday revoked the order banning the ‘Pattina Pravesam’ ritual of Dharmapuram Adhinyam. The tradition of devotees carrying the seer of Dharmapuram Adhinam in a palanquin will be ‘Pattina Pravesam’ on May 22. This order was issued by Mayiladuthurai District Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) J Balaji on Sunday. Earlier on April 27, he had banned this practice, calling it a violation of human rights.
The BJP had also warned of withdrawing the order banning this tradition. Also said that they will violate the ban by continuing the traditional practice.
