Bhaskar Exclusive: The doors of Badrinath Dham open with 3 keys, recognition- if the idol is wrapped in ghee then there will be prosperity in the country

The doors of 3 out of the four Dhams of Uttarakhand have been opened. The doors of the remaining Lord Badri Vishal opened on May 8 with Vedic chants. The arrangement made by Adiguru Shankaracharya from opening the doors to worship after the life of Badrinath is being followed literally till date.

From Joshimath to Badrinath Dham, the idols of the deities came out with the army band.

The Dharmadhikari of the Dham, Bhuvan Chandra Uniyal told that the chief Rawal of the Dham is Ishwari Prasad Namboodiri. He belongs to the Namboodiri Brahmin family of Kerala and practices celibacy for life. He opened the doors of Lord Badrinath at the auspicious time at 6:15 am. Apart from him, no one can touch the idol of the Lord.

Badrinath, Kuber and Uddhav, who were brought in doli from Joshimath and Pandukeshwar, were seated in the temple with full rituals.

3 keys to the temple
Badrinath Dham opens with three keys, these three keys are with different people. One of the keys is with the clan priest of the Tehri royal family, who comes from the Nautiyal family. The rights of the second Badrinath Dham are with the Mehta people involved in the Hakuk Dhari. The third right is with the rightful Bhandari people. The doors of Badrinath temple are opened by applying all the three keys.

If the idol is found wrapped in ghee, there will be prosperity in the country
Rawal is the first to enter when the doors are opened. They go to the sanctum. First of all, the ghee blanket is removed from the idol of the Lord. This garment is prepared by the unmarried girls of Mana village when the doors are closed. Ghee is applied to the idol of God only when the doors are closed. Therefore, after opening the door, it is first removed. It is believed that if the idol is completely wrapped in ghee, then there will be prosperity in the country that year. If there is less ghee then there may be conditions of drought or excessive rain.

Trouble: Many shops, hotels removed, passenger capacity 7 thousand left
Badrinath Dham is being brought under the purview of the master plan on the lines of Kashi. For this, 29 shops and hotels were demolished in the first phase. The cost of the first phase for the reconstruction of Badrinath Dham is 230 crores. In this, 5 other works are to be done along with 1 km bypass road of BRO. This work has to be done in 3 phases.

Earlier, up to 12 thousand passengers could stay in Badrinath in a day. Due to the breakdown of many hotels, this capacity has come down to only 7 thousand. In such a situation, there may be chaos in the coming days. There is anger among businessmen due to the destruction of hotels and shops.
