Bharat Jodo Yatra: Congress alleges BJP of misusing IB against people who interacted with Rahul Gandhi

The Congress today accused the BJP of misusing the Intelligence Bureau against people who interacted with Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Yatra. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh tweeted that the IB is questioning several people and is also seeking details like the memorandum submitted to the former Congress president. He said that two big leaders of BJP – PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are furious with the yatra.

“IB is questioning several people who interacted with Rahul Gandhi during Bharat Jodo Yatra. Ghosts are asking all kinds of questions and also want copies of memorandum submitted to them. There is nothing secret about the visit But clearly the G2’s are rattling!” Jairam Ramesh, general secretary in-charge of communications, said in a tweet.

The Congress had earlier alleged that the government was trying to block the yatra, during which Gandhi held talks with civil society and other local groups. The yatra reached Delhi on Saturday and is on a break till January 2 and will resume on January 3.
