Bhajan Lal Sharma To Take Oath As Rajasthan CM Today

First-time MLA Bhajan Lal Sharma emerged as the chosen chief ministerial candidate following a BJP legislature party meeting on Tuesday. The announcement took place in the presence of central observers Rajnath Singh, Saroj Pandey, and Vinod Tawde.

The BJP emerged victorious with 115 seats in Rajasthan’s November 25 assembly election, surpassing the ruling Congress’s 69 seats out of the 199 contested for the 200-member state assembly.

In a BJP legislature party meeting on Tuesday, first-time MLA Bhajan Lal Sharma was declared the chief minister-designate, in the presence of central observers Rajnath Singh, Saroj Pandey, and Vinod Tawde. Additionally, Diya Kumari, MLA of Vidhyadhar Nagar, and Bairwa, MLA of Dudu, were appointed deputy chief ministers, while Vasudev Devnani, MLA of Ajmer North, was named the Speaker of the assembly.

Details about the upcoming Rajasthan oath-taking ceremony include it being held at Jaipur’s Ramnivas Bag, commencing at 11 am. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah, and BJP president JP Nadda are expected to attend. To accommodate a large audience, extensive security measures and seating arrangements have been arranged at the historic Albert Hall.

According to a BJP spokesperson, invitations have been dispatched to central leaders and state chief ministers for the ceremony. The roads leading to the state capital have been adorned with posters showcasing various Centre-sponsored welfare schemes and leader cut-outs. Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his commitment to aligning the new BJP government in Rajasthan with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, emphasizing their dedication to fulfilling people’s aspirations and advancing the state’s development.
