Bhagwant Mann’s son, daughter to attend swearing-in in India: Report

New Delhi: Seerat Kaur Mann (21) and Dilshan Mann (17), children of Punjab’s nominated Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, will attend his swearing-in ceremony in Khatkar Kalan today.

Mann’s ex-wife Inderpreet Kaur confirmed the news to The Indian Express.

“Both our children have reached India and they will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Bhagwant at Khatkar Kalan. They are overwhelmed and very excited. They need some time to sink into this feeling,” Indrapreet said while talking to a media house from the US.

“I always worked hard for his success but behind his back. I have never said anything bad to him from my side. He has always been in my prayers for so many years and will continue to be so. Yes, there was physical distancing but that doesn’t mean we weren’t praying for their success. It’s just that I was busy with my work and kids’ education here in the US.”

Both the children have been living with their mother in the US since Bhagwant Mann separated from Inderpreet Kaur in 2015.

Mann’s swearing-in ceremony will be held in Khatkar Kalan village, the native village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.

The program will be attended by Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal and other party leaders. AAP won 92 of the 117 assembly seats in Punjab.

According to news agency PTI, about three lakh people are likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Bhagwant Mann.
