Anant Nag said in an interview with Asianet that the song had “nudity content”, although the outfit Deepika wore was the basis of the controversy. He responded by saying that “this is not the proper way to portray women” in his opinion on the Besharam color controversy.
He said, ‘It is not a part of our Indian culture to show women like this. If the censor team had done their job, it would not have happened in the first place. As he continued talking about how it was on OTT platforms, the actor said, “Forget about films, look at OTT content, they show all kinds of dirty and objectionable stuff. Everything is being shown openly and there is no one to stop them.”
Earlier, at a book launch recently, when questioned about the issue, renowned writer Javed Akhtar replied, “It is not for me or you to decide whether this song is right or wrong.” “We have an agency.”
According to Bollywood Hungama, three changes have been made to the song “Besharam Rang” under the CBFC rulebook, including some close-up buttock shots, side pose shots, and scenes of sensuous dance movements during the song “Bahut Taang Kiya”. However, the CBFC’s cut list does not specify how many seconds of footage were hidden.
Pathan, a spy-action film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, will release on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Today, the trailer of the film was launched on the official YouTube channel of Yash Raj Films production house and has received a good response from the audience.
