Benq Mobiuz EX3210U gaming monitor review: Makes your gaming setup better, if you can afford it

All gamers, be it PC gamers, console gamers or mobile gamers, need a good screen to enjoy the experience. Now, while the high-end gaming monitor market isn’t as hot as it was a few years ago, there are still brands that are making products, and very good ones at that. Benq is one such company that has a range of high-end gaming monitors under the popular Mobiuz line. The company’s BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U gaming monitor is a 32-inch 4K gaming monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate and comes with HDR for gamers, AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro technology, HDMI 2.1, and more.

BenQ Mobiuz The EX3210U is a beast of a gaming monitor, especially with the ability to run games at 120FPS at 4K resolution. I’ve used the BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U for about a month now as my primary display for gaming, editing, writing, researching, and watching content, and in this article, I’ll tell you what I need to know about this high-end gaming monitor. What I like, what I don’t like, and if you should spend your Rs 87,500 (Amazon listing) on the BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U.

Design

In terms of design, the BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U looks to be worth the money. On the front, it sports a flat screen with minimal bezels. The speaker grille sits at the bottom of the front display and the monitor looks sleek from the front profile. At the rear, it has a white back panel and comes with a heavy duty single mount ergonomic stand that attaches to the back panel of the monitor. The stand also looks very fancy with its angular design and orange and silver design. The back panel has a white finish and comes with four LED strips attached diagonally at the four corners. You can set the color, pattern and brightness for these lights. The BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U also features a speaker grille at the top of the back panel that says “Superior Sound by Trevolo” which adds to the overall gaming aesthetic that this monitor has to match. In fact, given the black/white combination and LED lights, the color scheme would go perfectly with the PlayStation 5.

The monitor and stand were also very easy to set up and use. There’s also a detachable panel that hides all the ports for better cable management, and the stand can easily pop-out with the press of a button on the back panel. You can adjust the angle of the monitor both in height and angle – to adjust your viewing angle according to eye level, or to turn it left or right. It’s a very cool looking monitor, and it’s very easy to assemble and start using. Nice overall design.

performance and performance

The BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U features a 144Hz panel with 4K UHD resolution. The picture quality of the monitor is good. Colors are reasonable and it runs at 4K resolution, even when connected to a laptop that doesn’t have a 4K display. The BenQ Mobiuz EX3210 delivers a smooth and clear gaming experience while gaming. It enables 120FPS gaming at 4K resolution, which looks great. The monitor works perfectly with a PlayStation 5 and games like Call of Duty: Warzone, Uncharted and Rocket League run at 120FPS. However, since a lot of PS5 games don’t support 4K resolution at 120FPS, I haven’t been able to try the same with the PlayStation 5.

With a gaming PC or laptop, however, the BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U runs games like Forza Horizon 5 at a full 120FPS at 4K resolution, and the experience is immersive, to say the least. 120FPS gaming at 4K resolution, paired with the monitor’s omnidirectional mode feature, made the experience great and it almost felt like being on a gaming rig. 32-inches is one of the bigger sizes when it comes to monitors, so it adds to the experience as well.

The monitor also comes with HDR and multiple picture modes like Cinema, Gaming, FPS mode. Users can set their own Dynamic Mode with their own frame rate, HDR on/off, brightness, and more. In addition, there are different gaming modes including “Racing Game,” “FPS,” and “RPG.” There are a bunch of other customizations as well to adjust blue light, brightness, and more. There is also a “reading”. mode” that turns the screen black and white so you can easily read books and documents on the big screen. I also used the BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U to edit some photos and some videos, and the BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U for those purposes as well Is a very good monitor. One thing I didn’t understand was the option to change the resolution of the monitor, which was not customizable on gaming consoles.

While the monitor clearly performs well on almost all aspects, there are a few things that could have been better. For example, the brightness level is not as high as I was expecting from a monitor priced at Rs 87,500. Beyond that, the sound isn’t quite as good as what BenQ has marketed it for and you’ll need to put on a set of headphones or attach speakers to your console or PC for proper audio.

Decision

The BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U is one of the highest-end gaming monitors on the market right now. The monitor will clearly elevate your gaming setup both in terms of aesthetics and immersiveness. It has a very clean design and great build quality, and the picture quality is beautiful. The BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U justifies its value when you take a look at the monitor, and it’s one of the very few 32-inch monitors on the market that offers a 120Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution. Not just gaming, the BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U is also good for video and photo editing. The speakers aren’t as loud as you’d expect, and it’s not the brightest gaming monitor out there, but these are things that won’t bother gamers much since gaming setups usually consist of headphones or speakers and are in a closed room.

The gaming monitor enables 120FPS gaming, but so do other, cheaper options. The BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U justifies its value with the quality it offers, but the number of takers in the Indian market will not be high. (Image credit: News18 / Darab Mansoor Ali)

While it’s an obvious “buy it if you can afford it” decision, gamers generally prefer displays with higher refresh rates that don’t cost a bomb. Since most console games still don’t support 4K gaming at 120FPS, this isn’t a practical option for console gamers. For PC gamers, there are other monitors that come with a slightly lower resolution and fewer features, but offer higher refresh rates and are priced much less than Rs 87,500.
