Bengaluru Metro cuts construction time, noisy restrictions in society t Help students prepare for board exams

To help students better prepare for their board exams, the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) has of late decided to halt construction, and several residential societies have asked young children not to play loudly. The collective effort is aimed at helping the students to prepare in peace as the exam season is on.

The students have spent the last two years indoors, attending online classes and meeting only friends. Even though physical classes resumed, it happened only a few months before the exams. So the community as a whole is helping the students to get used to each of these environments and routines. To ease the burden at least a little bit during this stressful ordeal period, some neighborhoods have gone an extra mile.

Smriti Vijay Kumar, daughter of a software professional, is appearing in her class 10 board exam this year. He has a habit of reading in the evening, this is his rest time. But since they live in an apartment complex, it’s fun time for the little ones. Seeing his daughter’s plight in an attempt to find a quiet place to study, Vijay Kumar sent a message to the apartment dweller’s group, requesting the inmates to do something by restricting the little ones to the children taking board exams. Help increase your study hours for days.

“They all became obliged very quickly. Now, young children play in the apartment’s play area between 5 and 6 pm and memory takes its break and rests at that time. Before and after this time usually Keep calm and he is busy continuing his exam preparation in his study room. There are 12 kids in our apartment complex attempting various board exams, there is so much we can do to help them,” said Vijay Kumar .

Some other apartments in Bengaluru have decided to avoid renovation works till the exams are over. Some others are leaving out loudspeakers for family gatherings or birthday parties that take place in community halls or apartment basements.

BMRCL has also called off its noisy construction work between 10 pm and 6 am. “Especially on Bannerghatta Road and Outer Ring Road, we have stopped night work. Some parents complained that their students either could not concentrate on their studies or could not sleep well due to the construction noise in the area. So we have put it on hold for now”, said Anjum Parvez, MD, BMRCL. Karnataka SSLC (Class 10) examinations are going on in Karnataka from March 28 to April 11, 2022.
