NEW DELHI: A Bengaluru-based man has been arrested for allegedly defrauding a Delhi-based businessman of over Rs 10 crore on the promise of profit of Rs 500 crore for facilitating the sale of DRDO-approved radioactive items. .

Taneja said that he gave the entire amount to the accused either through bank transfer or check or cash in several instalments, the officials said, during investigation, most of the money was found transferred to M/s Barclays Metal World.
and M/s Barclays Metal World was found to be a sole proprietorship firm of the accused Ahmed and dealing in scrap metal.
Tricking Taneja to transfer money from time to time, the fraudsters kept delaying the sale of the alleged radioactive material on the pretext of their testing and maintenance to various firms like M/s Devyani Groups, M/s. Jaipur GemsAnjaneya Seva Samiti, M/s Barclays Metal World, all run by him, said Additional Commissioner of Police (EOW) RK Singh.
