Bel Pola 2021: Wishes, congratulations, image and all you need to know

Bullocks and bulls play an important role in the lives of farmers. To thank these animals and celebrate their hard work, farmers of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka celebrate Bel Pola. The festival of Bel Pola is usually marked after the monsoon sowing and field work, which falls between late August and early September. This time this festival will be celebrated on Monday, 6th September.

In some parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, this day is also celebrated as Pola Amavasya. To celebrate this day, people thank and acknowledge the importance of oxen and oxen in their agriculture and agricultural activities. They decorate these animals with beautiful designs and ornaments. The pampering starts a day or two in advance. The bulls are given proper bath, their horns are painted, their ropes are changed and they are decorated with new bells.

On this day farmers do not work and give rest to their oxen and oxen. Women make beautiful rangolis in front of their homes, tie torans (ornamental thread) over the doors, prepare puja thali and worship farm animals.
