Tamil actor Suriya Sivakumar has announced that he has joined hands with director Bala for an upcoming film. He shared the news in a tweet, along with a picture of the two with the senior actor and his father Shivakumar.
“Who has more faith in me than I do; Who introduced me to a new world and gave me an identity; After 20 years, now he is in front of me again with the same enthusiasm. A beautiful journey back with my Bala Bhai with the blessings of my father,” Surya said in a tweet.

Suriya and Bala have previously worked together in notable films like ‘Nandha’ in 2001 and ‘Peethamagan’ in 2003.
Suriya’s cinematic career has been on a high footing after the film Nanda directed by Bala; A film that greatly influenced the career path of the actor.
At present, apart from acting, the actor is also engaged in production. He is producing many films, opening doors for budding directors if the story is strong enough.
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that some movies including 26 Vaadhinile, starring Surya’s wife Jyothika; Pasanga 2, 24; Uriyadi 2; Sorarai Potru; Adi was produced by Surya and Jyothika’s production house – Jodi. The film ‘Udaanpirappe’ which released on OTT a few weeks back starring Jyothika has also grabbed the attention of many.
Nachiyar was director Bala’s last released film in 2018. The film starring Jyothika received a mixed response. Director Bala is known for his excellence in training the actors acting in his films to fit the story perfectly.
Following this, the latest reports state that actress Aishwarya Rajesh has been roped in to play the lead role in the upcoming film opposite Suriya, which is currently in the initial stages of production.
Meanwhile, the actor is now all set to offer a delightful Diwali to his fans with the release of his film Jai Bhim, which is slated to release on OTT on November 2, 2021.
