Cricketers mourn the death of Shoaib Akhtar’s mother

Pakistan’s great fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar’s mother passed away on Sunday morning. The former cricketer took to his official Twitter handle to inform about the death of his mother. According to the report of Pakistan’s Geo News, Shoaib’s mother was taken to the hospital after her health deteriorated. However, she did not survive.
Akhtar said on Twitter, “My mother, my everything, by the will of Allah Ta’ala, has left for abode in heaven. Funeral prayers will be held in Sector H-8, Islamabad.”
My mother has passed away, Namaz-e-Janaza will be held in H-8 after Asr prayer.

Cricket fraternity also took to social media and paid tribute to the departed soul. Shoaib Malik, experienced all-rounder of Pakistan said, ‘We are all with you brother in this difficult time. May God grant him the highest position in Jannath.”

Shoaib Akhtar is known as one of the fastest bowlers to play the game. He set the record for bowling the ball at a speed of 161 kmph against New Zealand in 2002. He represented Pakistan in 224 international matches, 46 Tests, 163 ODIs and 15 T20Is.
