BCCI announces India U-19 squad for Asia Cup 2021; Delhi’s Yash Dhul will lead

New DelhiThe All India Junior Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 20-member Indian squad for the Under-19 Asia Cup starting this month in the UAE.

In addition, the committee has also announced a 25-member squad to be played at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru from December 11 to 19.

Both these tournaments are very important in terms of the Under-19 World Cup to be held in January-February next year. According to the BCCI, the Indian team for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup will be announced soon.

Know when and where Asia Cup 2021 will be played

According to the BCCI, the Under-19 Asia Cup will be held in the UAE from December 23. The Indian team is a strong contender for this tournament and it remains to be seen how the young players perform.

The ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup will be held in the West Indies in January-February next year and hence this tournament is being seen as a preparation for the World Cup.

India U-19 Asia Cup squad: Harnoor Singh Pannu, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Ansh Gosai, SK Rashid, Yash Dhul (capt), Aneshwar Gautam, Siddharth Yadav, Kaushal Tambe, Nishant Sindhu, Dinesh Bana (wk), Aaradhya Yadav (wk) , Rajangad Bawa, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Garv Sangwan, Ravi Kumar, Rishith Reddy, Manav Parekh, Amrit Raj Upadhyay, Vicky Ostwal, Vasu Vats (Subject to fitness approval).
