Batman box office: Matt Reeves-Robert Pattinson film earns Rs 138 cr on 2nd Friday

With no new major releases for the weekend, Warner Bros.’ “The Batman” has an easy path to repeat its top-notch performance at the domestic box office.

Columbia Pictures is expecting an additional $9 million for “Uncharted” by Sunday.

The Tom Holland action vehicle is holding up remarkably well, especially for a special effects spectacle for youngsters competing against a film about Batman.

The Marvel Money Monster is projected to come in fourth, with an additional $4 million to be added over its umpteenth weekend. This represents a mere 10 percent drop from its previous outing.

The film’s domestic business should have crossed $792 million after Sunday, close to becoming the third film to cross $800 million on the North American charts.

‘No Way Home’ is expected to hit the digital storefront on March 15, which may put brakes on its continued success at the box office.

Elsewhere, MGM and United Artists releasing “Dog” remains strong, adding an additional $1.38 million in its fourth Friday.

The Channing Tatum vehicle should exceed the $45 million domestic haul by Sunday; Not too shabby for a star-driven drama with a production budget of $15 million.

After a disappointing $12.8 million start, the Kenneth Branagh-led whodunit has some kindly grip, having fallen less than 40 percent in each of their last three outings.

The film was well received by international audiences and grossed $77.6 million overseas.
