Basant Panchami 2022: Make gram flour barfi at home with this easy, low cost recipe

Basant Panchami Special Besan Barfi Recipe: It is necessary to eat yellow food on the day of Basant Panchami. Goddess Saraswati is worshiped on this day and yellow fruits, flowers and sweets are offered. On the day of Basant Panchami, you can eat a dish made of gram flour as a yellow colored sweet. By eating food made from gram flour in winter, the body gets the required amount of heat. Gram flour is known to provide heat to the body and is rich in nutrients.

You must definitely include gram flour in the diet. You must have eaten a lot of gram flour laddus, but today we are telling you the method of making gram flour barfi. This barfi is very tasty to eat. You can easily make and eat it at home during the festival. It is also very easy to make them. Here is the recipe of Besan ki Barfi-

Ingredients for making Besan Barfi-

  • Gram flour – 1 bowl, a little coarse gram flour.
  • Ghee – half a bowl
  • Milk – 4 tbsp
  • Cardamom – 4 crushed
  • grated coconut – for garnishing
  • sugar to taste
  • Pistachios, Almonds – 5-5 chopped
  • Saffron – 8-10 threads
  • silver leaf for decoration

Method to make Besan Barfi-

  • First of all, heat ghee in a pan. Now add melted ghee and milk to the gram flour and mix it well with your hands.
  • Now sieve the gram flour through a thick sieve, add ghee to the pan and fry till it turns brown.
  • When the smell of roasted flour starts coming, take it off the flame.
  • Now add sugar to make syrup and add enough water to soak sugar to make syrup of two threads.
  • Now add saffron strands and roasted gram flour to the syrup and mix well.
  • Now put ghee in a plate and keep all the mixture in the plate. Keep the mixture in the fridge to set.
  • Sprinkle crushed cardamom, chopped nuts, coconut and silver leaves.
  • When it cools down completely, cut the barfi into the shape of your choice with the help of a knife.
