Bappi Lahiri rubbishes false reports of losing his voice

Veteran music composer Bappi Lahiri has rubbished reports of losing his voice. He called such reports “false and depressing”. She shared a note on Instagram, “Disappointed to learn of some media outlets posting false reports about me and my health. With the blessings of my fans and well wishers, I am doing well! Bappi.” He used the hashtag ‘false reporting’ in the caption of the post.

Singer Shaan wrote in the comment section of the post, “This is really sick .. #falsereporting .. don’t know how it benefits them .. just to create panic and confusion.”

Earlier this year, the singer was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after testing positive for coronavirus, the singer’s spokesperson confirmed to news agency ANI. On behalf of the singer, the spokesperson shared, “Despite extreme precautions, unfortunately, Mr Bappi Lahiri has tested positive for COVID-19. She is in very good and expert care at Breach Candy Hospital. Bappi Dada’s family requests all those who came in contact with him in the recent past to get themselves tested as a precautionary measure.”

“He wishes his fans, friends and everyone from India and abroad the blessings and best wishes. On behalf of Bappi Da, we are giving a message to all his well wishers and fans to stay healthy, stay blessed.”

Extremely popular for his musical compositions in the 1980s and 1990s, the singer is known for his works in Vardat, Disco Dancer, Namak Halal, Dance Dance, Commando, Saheb, Gang Leader, Sailaab and Sharabi.
