Banks will remain closed for 17 days in July; full list here

New Delhi: As per the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar, banks will remain closed for a total of 17 days in the month of July 2022. Gazetted holidays are observed by all government and private banks. In addition, banks are closed on Sundays and all statutory holidays. In addition, banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.

There are many regional festivals to be celebrated all over the country in the month of July. Consequently, banks in states and union territories will remain closed on holidays, as per the local calendar. RBI has classified bank holidays into three categories – holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act; Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Leave; and closing bank accounts.
