Upcoming calendar month being packed with a wide range of Bank holiday As per the mandatory list of cards issued by reserve Bank of India (RBI). In total there are 21 bank holidays which can be expected next month, however, these are divided into state wise celebrations. This means that, except for a few days, most of these holidays apply to only a few cities and states at a time. Out of 21 holidays, only 14 of them are bank holidays issued by RBI. The other seven days are weekend leaves, which include Sundays, as well as the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

The RBI holiday list falls into the categories of state-wise celebrations, religious holidays and festival celebrations. Looking at the official classifications, the list of mandatory holidays by RBI has been classified under the categories of ‘Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act’, ‘Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act’ and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday’ and ‘Banks’ Closing of Accounts has gone. ‘. In the calendar month of October, most of the holidays fall under the ‘Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act’ classification, however, October 1, the first holiday in the list, falls under the ‘Closing Banks Accounts’ classification, which is observed in Gangtok. There is only one holiday for the banks located.

The first holiday in the list to fall under the ‘holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act’ is scheduled to be Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. This holiday is one of the few that is applicable to all the states and cities that the RBI has considered for its list of bank holidays next month. October 15 as Durga Puja/Dussehra/Dashami (Vijaya Dashami) is the other big holiday scheduled to be attended by a large number of states. This holiday will be applicable to all banks across India except those located in the geographical area. Location of Imphal and Shimla.

Keeping this in view, it would be advisable to plan the next visit to the Bank so as to avoid further inconvenience. Considering October as the festive season, the appointment of these holidays is appropriate. Keep in mind that, as stated before, they are location-based. Barring the above two major holidays, the rest are sparse in nature, which makes the coming month manageable for banking business.
