As of Sunday, more than 1.1 million cases of Kovid-19 have been confirmed in Bangladesh. The country’s Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday reported 11,578 new Covid-19 cases and 225 more deaths, taking the death toll to 11,03,989 and 17,894, reported Xinhua news agency.

Official data showed that 39,806 samples were tested across Bangladesh in the last 24 hours till 8:00 am local time on Sunday. The DGHS said that the total number of cured patients in the country stood at 932,008, which included 8,845 new patients on Sunday.

According to official figures, the death rate of Kovid-19 in Bangladesh is now 1.62 percent and the recovery rate is currently 84.42 percent. Bangladesh recorded the highest daily number of 13,768 new cases on 12 July and 230 deaths on 11 July.
