Bangladesh beat New Zealand by 8 wickets, the first Asian team to win on Kiwi soil in 10 years

Bangladesh registered a historic win against New Zealand on Wednesday. He defeated Kiwi team by 8 wickets in the first test match played at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.

The World Test Champions suffered their first home defeat in 10 years against an Asian team. This Test match win is historic in many ways as Bangladesh registered their first win against New Zealand. The first win in an away match makes it even more special.

It was a thorough team effort by the Bangladesh team, but a clean-up in the third innings by Abadot Hossain earned him the man of the match award for his six-wicket haul.

At the start of Day 5, New Zealand were 147/5 with a lead of just 9 runs and all their hopes rested on veteran batsman Ross Taylor. Abadot Hossain and Taskin Ahmed did not give much time to the New Zealand batsmen as they were bundled out for 169.
