Mumbai: Ahead of the upcoming Eid-al-Adha, also known as Bakri Eid, the state government has issued guidelines Asking people to book sacrificial animals online or over the telephone as all animal markets will remain closed, adding that the ‘qurbani’ should preferably be symbolic.
As per the guidelines shared by the state home department, all religious programs are banned and people should offer “namaz” at their homes and not mosques and festivities should be curtailed.
There will be no relaxation of restrictions for Eid as per the ‘break the chain’ order by the state government, and people have been instructed not to congregate in public places on the day of the festival.
