Rapper Badshah is seen in trouble regarding the lyrics of his new song. A complaint was lodged against the singer in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore on Friday for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of people by using the word ‘Bholenath’ in a song, a police official said. MG Road police station in-charge Santosh Singh said the complaint was submitted by an organization called ‘Parashuram Sena’ and action would be taken after probing the allegations.

The organisation’s lawyer Vinod Dwivedi claimed that the lyrics of Badshah’s new song ‘Sanak’ contained objectionable lyrics and the use of the word ‘Bholenath’ hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Some people also protested in front of the MG Road police station and burnt an effigy of the 37-year-old artist.

Recently, Badshah was in limelight for his marriage rumors with his longtime girlfriend and Punjabi actress Esha Rikhi. As per media reports, the couple was planning a wedding in April at a Gurdwara in North India, which was to be attended by close family members and friends. However, the rapper shot down the rumors calling the speculations ‘baseless’ through an Instagram story.

Badshah was rumored to be dating since last year after meeting at a party and sharing similar interests. The rapper married Jasmine Masih in 2012 and in 2017 the two became parents to their daughter Jessamy Grace Masih Singh. However, they parted ways in 2020.
