Lucknow: Lucknow-Kanpur Greenfield Expressway is an economic corridor and will be its backbone Defense Corridor, Defense Minister said Rajnath Singh in Lucknow on Wednesday.
Rajnath Singh and Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari The foundation stone of 16 national highways worth Rs 7,409 crore was laid in Lucknow on Wednesday.
Singh said on the occasion that Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway is an economic corridor and it will act as its backbone for the Defense Corridor project.
He said, “With the construction of this expressway, more employment will be generated and industries will develop in the state. Development of roads plays an important role in the development of any state.”
Singh further said that he was also a Road and Transport Minister but the kind of work Nitin Gadkari is doing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is amazing as about 30-40 kms of roads are being built every day.
“Law and order is an equally priority for any state’s economic development. We need strong people like the CM of Uttar Pradesh to remove the ‘bottlenecks’. Yogi Ji Because he knows when to use road roller, bulldozer and JCB. He has ended the goonda raj and mafia raj in the state.
He also said that work is underway to improve interstate connectivity from Lucknow to nearby cities.
Speaking on the occasion, Nitin Gadkari said that the Lucknow-Kanpur Greenfield Expressway will reduce the travel time between the two cities by 30 minutes. The highway will be developed for Mumbai-Pune connectivity.
He said, “Water, electricity, transport and communication are the key players in the development of any state. Under PM Modi after 2014… Rajnath Singh was elected from Lucknow and I assure Yogi ji that we will be in UP. are developing seven green expressways,” he said. ,
UP CM Yogi Adityanath He said that the Prime Minister traveled from Delhi to Meerut in just 45 minutes via the new Meerut Expressway and said that this development of Uttar Pradesh is being done by the double engine government.
