Kabul: Former chief Azizullah Fazli was on Sunday appointed acting president Afghanistan cricket board (ACB), the first new appointment in the Governing Body TalibanThe takeover of a conflict-torn nation.
Fazli had earlier served as the chairman of the ACB from September 2018 to July 2019.
“Former ACB President Azizullah Fazli has been reappointed as ACB Executive Chairman. He will oversee ACB’s leadership and actions for upcoming competitions,” the ACB tweeted.

Speaking to PTI, ACB CEO Hamid Shinwari Earlier this week he said he expected cricket activities to continue as usual as the Taliban supports the game.
It remains to be seen how Fazli & Co handle the logistics for the next international assignment against Afghanistan Pakistan In Sri Lanka, commercial flights are suspended at Kabul airport.
