Azam Khan’s Health Deteriorates, SP Leader Admitted To Delhi Hospital

New Delhi: Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi after his health deteriorated. Azam Khan’s relatives admitted him to the hospital at 3 o’clock on Sunday night. At present, his condition is said to be stable and he is undergoing treatment under the supervision of experts. The senior SP leader was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital in Lucknow in August last year after suffering from pneumonia.

The commander complained of shortness of breath, so he was evaluated by doctors. In May last year, the 72-year-old was admitted to the same hospital in Delhi for a routine check-up. Azam Khan was released from Sitapur Jail in Uttar Pradesh on May 20, 2022, the same day the Supreme Court granted him interim bail in a cheating case.

Azam Khan was sentenced to three years for making inflammatory speeches. The Rampur MP/MLA Court gave this verdict on October 27, 2022. The court had also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him. A surety of Rs 25,000 was fixed on a personal bond. After that, his assembly membership was canceled due to the sentence of three years. Their right to vote was also taken away. After that, Azam will not be able to run for office or vote.

By-elections have been announced for two assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. On May 10, voting will be held on Swar assembly seat of Rampur and Chambe assembly seat of Mirzapur. The counting of votes will take place on May 13. The most talked about seat in these two assembly seats is of Swar in Rampur district. Azam Khan’s son Abdullah Azam was disqualified in this case. Only after that this seat became available. Remind you that Azam has a lot of dominance in Rampur Sadar and Swar seats. Speculations are rife on who will be fielded from Azam Khan’s family on the Swar seat.
