The Indian embassy also said that alternatively, Indian nationals are advised to travel south for transit via Hungary or Poland.

“At present, Indians in Lviv and Ternopil and other places in western Ukraine may travel to the Budomierz border check-point at the earliest for a relatively quicker entry into Poland,” the embassy said.

The embassy in its advisory said that Indian nationals may avoid crossing the Shehini-Medyaka border, which continues to be overcrowded.

According to the advisory, Indian Embassy officials in Poland have been deployed at the Medyka and Budomierz border posts, all receiving evacuees and facilitating travel to India.

“Those who enter Poland from any other crossing where Indian officials are not stationed may kindly travel directly to Podwisówcz 48 at Hotel Przydenki, ul. Rczów, where all arrangements have been made for their stay and where Operation Ganga flights from India to India are being operated regularly,” the embassy further said.

The Indian embassy said that if the Indian student does not have funds for the same, the transportation fee to the hotel will be paid by the embassy.
