Avanta leases 100 desks at Connaught Place co-working center to IIFL during pandemic

Avanta India, which provides managed office space, has leased 100 desks at its center in Connaught Place here to IIFL to meet the growing demand for flexible workspaces during the COVID-19 pandemic. Avanta India is part of the UK-based Avanta Group, which currently has six business centres, all in the National Capital Region (NCR). These centers are spread over 1.2 lakh square feet and have a seating capacity of 2,500.

Sources said IIFL will occupy over 100 seats at the center of Avanta India at Ambadeep Tower on Barakhamba Road. An Avanta spokesperson declined to comment on the individual leasing transaction. In September 2008, Avanta commenced operations from Statesman House in Connaught Place as its first business center in the national capital. Recently, property consultant Colliers India reported that the share of flexible workspace operators in the total gross office space leasing increased to 26 per cent in the July-September period. This is due to the high demand from those looking for managed locations and short-term leases to deal with uncertain times.
