Australia set to tour Pakistan for the first time after 24 years

As per reports, a delegation from Cricket Australia will visit Pakistan to discuss matters related to logistics, team security and COVID-19 protocols with PCB officials and other officials.

Australia is set to tour Pakistan in March next year for the first time since 1998, thus ending more than 24 years. Both the teams will play three Tests, three ODIs and one T20I in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore.

The tour begins on March 3 with the first Test in Karachi and the series will be part of the ICC World Championship.

“I am delighted to welcome Australia to Pakistan. From a personal point of view, it seems to me no end that we will be involved in three Test matches,” Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ramiz Raja said in a media release on Monday. Match series, connoisseurs happy.”

Since the 1998 tour, Pakistan has hosted Australia for four Test series, two entirely in the United Arab Emirates and once each in England and Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates.
