Attack on Punjab Police Intelligence Office: Glass broken in Mohali office, fear of hand grenade or rocket attack

There was an attack on the Intelligence Wing headquarters of Punjab Police in Mohali late on Monday night. There is a big bang in its front side. Due to which the glass of the office was broken. In the preliminary investigation, it is feared that this explosive was thrown from a distance. Because of this, it is being feared to be attacked with a hand grenade or rocket.

Preliminary information has revealed that the blast took place on the second floor of the Intelligence Wing. However, till now the police have not said anything formally about this. At present, the entire area has been sealed. The media has also been stopped away from the office.

As soon as the incident came to light, heavy police force reached the spot. All the top officers of Punjab Police have reached the spot. Recently a bomb was found outside the Burail Jail in Chandigarh. After which high alert has been put in the government buildings of other departments including the police all over Punjab.
