Punjab’s Advocate General Anmol Ratan, aboard the Shatabdi Express, was attacked near the Kohand-Gharaunda railway station near Panipat in Karnal, Haryana. The coach and the seat on which he was sitting in Shatabdi suddenly got stoned. Ratan had come to Delhi to present Punjab’s side for the hearing of a petition filed against the transit remand of gangster Lawrence, an accused in the Moosewala murder case.

However, the stone could not come inside breaking the window of the train, due to which there was no harm to Anmol Ratan. After the information of the incident, there was a stir in the RPF and GRP. Police teams from both Panipat and Karnal stations reached the spot, but nothing was found on the spot.

Anmol Was in Coach E2 (143877)
According to the information, Advocate General of Punjab Anmol Ratan Sidhu 12005 was in coach E2 (143877) of 12/7 Shatabdi Express. On Tuesday evening at around 6.30 pm, when Shatabdi came out from near Kohand, stones were pelted on the train, the coach on which stones were pelted, Advocate General Anmol Ratan Sidhu was in the same. He didn’t get hurt. There the window glass was broken due to stone.

Punjab’s Advocate General Anmol Ratan Sidhu had gone to Delhi in connection with the Punjab singer Sidhu Moosewala murder case. On Monday, he appeared in the Supreme Court in the Supreme Court hearing a petition filed by Punjab seeking a CBI probe into the singer Sidhu Musewala case and the petition filed against Lawrence’s transit remand. From there they were returning to Chandigarh from Shatabdi on Tuesday. On the way near Kohand, some unknown people pelted stones on the train from outside, which also broke the window glass near them.

Till now the police did not get the clue
Shatabdi Express was going from Delhi to Kalka. After the information of the incident, GRP and RPF teams of Panipat and Karnal districts reached the spot. investigated the matter. During this, the police also interrogated the people around, but there was no clue about the stone pelters.

Punjab’s Advocate General Anmol Ratan Sidhu said that his entire legal team had gone to Delhi in connection with the case. Today he was coming back from the century. Has there been any stone pelting near Panipat or was it attacked with some other object. Police is probing it. I also immediately informed the DGP of Punjab about this. What happened in reality can be known only after investigation. The 12MM glass is broken, so it cannot be said directly that the stone has been hit. SI Deepak of Panipat RPF says that the Shatabdi had passed by around 6:30 am. They had received information that children had pelted stones on the train. After information, they reached the spot, but they did not find anything there. A report about this has been given to the higher authorities. The investigation continues.
