Atlanta Hawks Without Trying Fly, Milwaukee Bucks Without Antetokounmpo Fall

The Atlanta Hawks proved they weren’t completely dependent on their star player Trey Young in a 110-88 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at the State Farm Arena on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning IST). In the overall team effort, Lou Williams (21 points), Bogdan Bogdanovic (20 points), Clint Capella (15 points) and Kevin Huerter (15 points) contributed to their team’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bucks not only lost Game 4, but also suffered an injury to Antetokounmpo. Trailing 52-62 in the third quarter, the Bucks star was awkwardly trying to counter Capella’s dunk. He went back to the locker room and later returned to the bench. But the two-time MVP could not make it to the court, eventually returning for good in the locker room as the Hawks continued to put pressure on their lead, extending their lead to 25 points at the end of the third quarter.

“They’re a really good team, still really solid players, Jure and Middleton and López, Peto [Connaughton], all those people over there. This is a good team. So no, we had no way to rest,” Hawks coach Nate McMillan said of his side’s intention after Antetokounmpo’s exit.

However, Bucks head coach Budenholzer was not worried. “We have one cat from one team, one cat from one roster,” Budenholzer said. “So, we have Game 5. We’ll watch the movie. We’ll prepare. We’ll get ready. People like to compete.”

With Game 5 at home on Thursday night (Friday morning IST), the Bucks will be looking to regroup and hope Khris Middleton will find his touch after a forgettable Game 4 performance. He scored 16 points on 6-of-17 shooting and 0-of-7 on three-point attempts. The game at the Fisher Forum will not be an elimination contest, with both sides hoping for their star players to perform and help them bring a game closer to the NBA Finals.

The game will go live on 5 Star Sports Select and NBA League Pass starting at 6:00 AM
