The Warisu team organized a thanksgiving meet on 16 January to thank the fans and the media for the film’s success.
Thalapathy Vijay’s Vaarisu, one of the eagerly awaited films, was released in theaters worldwide on 11th January and received positive response from the audience. Varisu, produced by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations and directed by Vamsi Baidipalli, has earned Rs 150 crore in five days.
And it certainly calls for a celebration! The Warisu team organized a thanksgiving meet on 16 January to thank the fans and the media for the film’s success. Heartily appreciated by the film crew.
On this occasion, VTV Ganesh said, ‘I had not seen Vijay’s film many years back. One fine day, I went to the cinema with my daughter to watch the movie Pokkiri starring actor Vijay released in 2007. The film was very enjoyable to watch. And later, I started watching his films and became a huge fan of Vijay. So I am very happy to work in his film.”
Furthermore, he added, “Warisu film is not only a hit in Tamil Nadu but also in Karnataka. The film is being celebrated in Kerala as well.”

Thunivu directed by Ajith Kumar competed with the film. Ajith’s fans tore posters of Varisu during the initial screening outside a Chennai movie theatre. People flocked to watch both the films as they released on the same day after such a long gap.
Vijay’s fans were seen celebrating outside Rohini Theater in Chennai. The police had to resort to a mild lathi charge to disperse the huge crowd.
