At least 4 killed, 15 injured in blast on Quetta’s Jinnah Road – Henry’s Club

At least four people were killed and 15 others injured in a blast near Science College on Quetta’s Jinnah Road on Thursday night.

The death toll was confirmed by the Balochistan Health Department’s media coordinator Dr Waseem Baig in a statement issued soon after the incident.

Separately, Dr Javed Akhtar, Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Quetta – who initially said that three bodies and 13 injured had been brought to the hospital – also confirmed don.com The death toll in the blast rose to four and the number of injured to 15.

Meanwhile, Advisor to the Chief Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs of Balochistan Mir Ziaullah Langov said that the blast was caused by a remotely controlled device.

Langov visited the blast site and expressed grief over the loss of life and property.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quds Bijenjo condemned the incident, terming it an “act of terrorism”.

Bizenzo said in a statement that he was saddened by the loss of lives in an “act of terrorism” and that those who target innocent civilians should be punished severely.

He expressed dissatisfaction with the security arrangements in Quetta.

The Chief Minister also sought a report from the Inspector General of Police, Balochistan on the incident and the security arrangements in the city. He also directed the internal advisor to the CM to review the security plan for the city and make the security arrangements more effective.

“It is the responsibility of the police and security agencies to protect the life and property of the people. Citizens cannot be left at the mercy of terrorists.

Bizenjo also issued instructions to ensure proper medical treatment to the injured, as well as directed the provincial health minister to oversee the provision of medical treatment for them.
