Custody will release in theaters on May 12.
In the pre-release event of Custody, Naga Chaitanya praised Kriti Shetty and said that he is happy to see the progress in her career.
Naga Chaitanya’s much talked about Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Custody will hit the theaters on 12th May. The pre-release event of the film was held on Sunday at Annapurna 7 Acres in Hyderabad. The cast and crew members of the film including actresses Kriti Shetty and Naga Chaitanya were present at the event. Kriti said she was there because the audience had reposed faith in her acting skills. The actress said that she is happy to see that the Custody trailer has received a great response. Kriti expressed hope that Custody will be successful at the box office.
She said that she feels fortunate to have got a chance to play the female lead in this film introducing her character. The actress said that she will be playing the character of Revathi, which will be different from her earlier glamorous roles. She also praised her co-star and Custody’s male lead, Naga Chaitanya. The actress felt happy to work with Naga Chaitanya for the second time after Bangaraju.
He also revealed that Naga Chaitanya is his favorite actor. Naga Chaitanya also praised the actress and said that he is happy to see the progress in her career. He also shared some interesting details about the film at the event and said that he was happy after hearing the script of Custody and hugged director Venkat Prabhu. The actor said that the director has created some interesting action sequences between him and actor Sarath Kumar.
The actor also thanked producer Srinivas Chitturi for his support. Chaitanya said he also learned a lot from actor Arvind Swamy. He also praised dialogue writer Abburi Ravi and music composers Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. Chaitanya assured the audience that they would be in for some great action sequences from the 40th minute of the film. Chaitanya said in closing remarks, “You will see a new Naga Chaitanya in custody.”
Custody tells the story of an honest constable A Shiva, played by Chaitanya, who is given the task of protecting a criminal from his rivals. Also in custody are Priyamani, Sampath Raj, Premgi, Vennela Kishore and Premi Vishwanath. The trailer for Custody was unveiled on 5 May.
